Situated on Portugal’s beautiful Algarve coastline, Albufeira was once a peaceful fishing village but has blossomed into a beautiful and bustling hen party destination. There are two main areas, the Old Town and the Strip.

August is host to the Sardine Fesitval in nearby Olhos de Agua. If you’re not a fish fan, this probably isn’t for you but if you are, come on down to enjoy fresh sardines, wine and live music in a chilled-out atmosphere.

Portugal’s famous for its seafood and the first weekend of September sees the return of the Fisherman Festival (Festa do Pescador) where you’ll be able to taste loads of fresh fish and seafood as well as watch dance performances and live musicians.

Huge crowds flock to the square behind Praia dos Pescadores on New Year’s Eve for a big party, live entertainment and, of course, fireworks to see in the new year. This is a great way to double up the celebrations during your hen night in Albufeira!
