Frequently asked questions about Quad Biking Experiences & Activities

What Do You Wear to Quad Biking?

It’s best to wear comfy clothes that you can move in and flat shoes. Bear in mind, you’re very likely to get muddy so wear something you don’t mind getting dirty. And if you’re hitting the town after this activity, it’s best to bring a change of clothes.

Is Quad Biking Easy?

Yes, it is! Anyone can have a go at quad biking, whether you’re an experienced rider or have never tried it before. An instructor will explain the easy-to-use controls then you’ll be zipping around the track before you know it.

How Fast Do Quad Bikes Go?

The world’s fastest quad bike achieved over 195 mph in speed but don’t worry, you’re not going to go quite that fast! You can expect to get up to speeds of between 30mph and 45mph which is plenty fast enough to get your adrenaline going.

Do I Need a Driving Licence to Ride a Quad?

The general rule is that if you’re driving a quad bike off-road, you don’t need a driving licence. If you’re driving it on the road, you will.

How Long Do Quad Biking Sessions Last For?

Quad biking experiences tend to last between 20 and 60 minutes, plenty of time to master the controls and show off what you can do around those tricky corners, hills and muddy puddles.

Do I Need to Wear a Crash Helmet When Riding a Quad Bike?

You’ll be provided with safety gear when you arrive at the quad biking venue, including a crash helmet. You’ll also receive a full safety briefing from staff so you can have fun in a safe environment.

What Events Would Quad Be Good For?

Quad biking is great fun for a massive range of occasions including a stag do, hen or birthday party, team building event or even just a fun day out with friends or family. With minimum group sizes starting at just two people, you don’t need an excuse to conquer the great outdoors on a quad bike!

Can I Take My Camera With Me When Quad Biking?

You can take a few before and after group photos but we recommend leaving your camera or phone at home or in your bag once you get going on the quads. The last thing you want to do is drop it in the mud!

Does It Matter if I’ve Never Ridden a Quad Bike Before?

Not at all! Quad biking is suitable for all abilities and experience levels. You’ll receive full instruction from the venue’s staff before heading off to tackle tricky terrain and take in countryside views. The controls are easy to master so you’ll be picking up speed and taking on corners like a pro in no time.

How Many People Can I Have in a Group?

You can go quad biking with a group as small as two people or as big as 50. A larger group might mean you’re riding the quads at different time but you’ll still enjoy watching each other show off.
