What's involved

Located along lively Deansgate strip, Las Iguanas in Manchester is a great spot for a bite to eat and to spend that all important quality time with friends or family. You will feel instantly at home in the relaxed atmosphere of this authentic Latin American Restaurant. The extensive menu is packed with flavourful dishes originating from or inspired by native Latin American, Spanish, Portuguese, Indian and African countries. Whether you like your food super spicy or mild and mellow, there is something for everyone, including vegetarian options for each course. You will each receive a complimentary drink with your two-course meal, but be sure to take advantage of their happy hour cocktails, two for one all day, every day. They claim to make the best caipirinhas cocktails this side of the Atlantic. We’ll let you be the judge of that!

Nachos
Corn tortilla chips with melted cheese, topped with pico de gallo sauce, jalapenos, tomato salsa, soured cream and guacamole.

Fiesta Ensalada
Roasted butternut squash, mixed leaves, carrot, cucumber, pink pickled onions, oven-dried tomatoes and fresh avocado, tossed in a poppy seed dressing. Topped with toasted pumpkin seeds, charred corn and roquito peppers.

Pato Taquito
Shreds of roast duck and caramelised onion rolled in a flour tortilla and chargrilled, with spicy cranberry salsa.
Dadinhos
Our take on a Brazilian favourite, crispy cheesy cubes served with sticky chilli jam.

Spicy hot chicken wings sauced up with: Honey peri-peri / Spicy BBQ jerk / Vivo; hot habanero.
Albondigas
Patagonian-style lamb meatballs with apple, mint, parmesan and a pinch of nutmeg. Braised in a rich tomato, mint and mid chilli sauce and served with ciabatta.
Main
Xinxim
A classic recipe from north Brazil. Chicken and crayfish in our creamy lime and peanut sauce with spring onion rice, fine green beans, coconut farofa and sweet plantain.

Moqueca De Peixe
Peeled prawns, white fish and peppers cooked in a homemade creamy coconut, fresh tomato and lime sauce with spring onion rice, sweet plantain, pico de gallo and a coconut farofa to sprinkle.
Beetroot, Avocado and Cranberry Ensalada
Avocado, dried cranberries, baby spinach and coriander, in a poppy seed dressing with a spiced beetroot salsa and sprinkled with candied spiced almonds.

Gaucho Steak
10oz sirloin steak with fresh herb chimichurro, Argentine-style roasted sweetcorn puree and a choice of roasted sweet potato mash, fries or salad. +£5 supplement.

Moqueca De Palmitos
Butternut squash, palm hearts and spinach in a creamy coconut curry with charred red peppers, garlic and fresh tomatoes. With spring onion rice, sweet plantain, pico de gallo and a coconut farofa to sprinkle.

Sweet potato, butternut squash and chickpeas braised with spiced tomatoes, served with spring onion rice, soft wheat tortillas, soured cream and pink pickled onion.

Fajitas
Freshly cooked to order in our special mix of spices, onions and peppers. Dished up sizzling with guacamole, grated cheese, soured cream, jalapenos, roasted tomato salsa and soft wheat tortillas. Choose from chicken breast strips or Portobello mushroom.
Blazing Bird
Our spicy chicken marinated with our fiery sauce with creamy slaw and fries or salad. Sauced up with your choice: Honey peri-peri / Spicy BBQ jerk / Vivo; hot habanero.
Enchilada
Rolled tortilla with smoky chipotle sauce on a bed of spring onion rice with refried beans and topped with cheese. Choose: Roast butternut squash, red peppers, spinach and cheese or spicy chicken, pepper, onion and cheese.
Chilli Con Carne
A rich, chunky beef and black bean chilli, with spring onion rice and jalapeno buttermilk cornbread. Choose a spiced butter to melt into your chilli: Mild – Cocoa and ancho chilli / Medium – Smoky chipotle butter / Hot – Habanero and pequin chilli.

Dulce De Leche Macadamia Cheesecake
Creamy cheesecake with roasted macadamia nuts and dulce de leche caramel sauce.
