Frequently asked questions about Dodgeball Experiences & Activities

How do you play dodgeball?

The game is simple but really fun. Split into teams and throw balls at your opponents to eliminate them. You can win back eliminated players by catching an incoming ball. The winning team are the ones to eliminate all enemy players first.

Does dodgeball hurt?

No because you'll use soft balls that pack a punch but aren't too painful.

Can I play dodgeball if I have a medical condition?

If you have a medical condition, please let us know when you make your enquiry. The experience provider will let you know what they can do for you.

Dodgeball Games

Get ready to laugh as you unleash the big kid within and play a fast-paced and hilarious game of dodgeball. Take inspiration from the funny Ben Stiller film and remember the five Ds of dodgeball: Dodge, duck, dip, dive and dodge. If you’re celebrating a birthday, stag or hen do or just fancy doing something wacky and wonderful with friends, family or workmates, this retro experience will leave everyone with smiles on their faces.

Whether you’ve seen the film, played the game at school or don’t even know what dodgeball is, let us break it down for you. Your group will be split into two teams to compete against each other. You’ll start the game at either end of the outdoor pitch or sports hall with a row of soft balls in front of you. When your referee blows the whistle, you’ll need to run as fast as you can to grab one of the balls.

This is when the competition really heats up as you try your hardest to hit a member of the opposing team with the ball. If you hit them, they’re out but if they catch your ball, you’re out and they’ll also win back a side-lined member of their team. You could also be taking part in a range of fun challenges such as Last Person Standing, Wrong Arm Dodgeball and Behind Enemy Lines.

You don’t need to be super fit to played or have any experience. An event coordinator will explain the rules, split you into teams and keep score. All equipment will be provided for you including (at some venues) coloured bibs and headbands to make you really look the part! It's great fun for a birthday party, hen or stag do.
