What's involved
What better way to get out of the office than to bask in the English countryside and enjoy a tipple of wine?
On the Albourne Vineyard Tour, your team will get the chance to enjoy the gorgeous South Downs while learning about the joys of English winemaking.
Your day will begin at 11am where you’ll be picked up from central Brighton by an old vintage Routemaster bus. As you ride through the glorious Sussex landscape, you’ll enjoy a selection of pastries served with a choice of lose leaf teas or coffee.
Once you’ve arrived at the vineyard, you’ll be taken around the grounds and shown the seven different grape varieties. An experienced guide will walk you through the estate’s history and discuss vine growing methods.
Next, you’ll sit down to a picnic lunch that will comprise of ham hock terrine, mini Yorkshire puddings, a cheese board and, of course, a glass of local wine.
Afterwards, you’ll continue onto the winery. This is where the magic happens. You’ll discover the techniques and processes of both sparking and still wine production, before stepping into the tasting room.
Here you’ll sample four different types of wines. Learn what makes each unique and walk away with an in-depth knowledge of this popular drink.
Back on the vintage bus, you can compare tasting notes and discuss your favourites, making this a fantastic team building activity for any group of colleagues.
